Ask around NUFA's membership and you'll hear the same thing: the talent was always here, it just needed a stage. Two editions into the NUFA Awards, that stage is starting to do its job.

Members who once shot weddings and church events on borrowed equipment are now producing short films, music videos and documentaries with a distinct regional voice — stories in Acholi, Lango and Luo, set in the North, made by the North.

NUFA's role isn't to manufacture that talent. It's to make sure it has training, equipment access and an audience — and to make sure the credit lands where it belongs.
